Takapuwahia Marae
Haere Mai, we were welcomed onto a marae on Wednesday April 1st.

We are so excited to be on the bus
Jack told us he did sticks, a haka and played running games.
"There was singing by men and girls. They sang
in maori and I understood it. We made a headband out of paper and we
watched people doing hongi. It was a fun day and the singing was my favourite.
And also making the headband was my favourite." By Abigail
Keira told us she did a puppet show, played a tune with the sticks and used the poi.
Cameron told us he had a turn with rakau, ate his lunch in the kai room and played games with teenagers.
Liam told us he made a hat, took his shoes off and listened to Te Reo.
Aidan told us he made a headband, did the haka and played a stick game.
Ryan told us he had fun playing with the sticks and banging them together, having a pukana photo taken and making a headband.

Wellington Phoenix
We had a visit from the Wellington Phoenix. Roly Bonevacia, Manny Muscat and Joel Griffiths came to visit KB Class. We then watched them teaching skills to the Resolution Syndicate on the field.

Look What We Saw Happen!
We watched a fat caterpillar turned into a chrysalis. The caterpillar wiggled around while transforming.
